4 great apps for your business

These useful apps will help you to organise your work and hopefully help to reduce your workload:

Receipt Bank

This is a brilliant idea if you have to keep track of lots of receipts, invoices and bills. You simply send your documents to the Receipt Bank app via a number of methods including e-mail, Mobile apps, computer upload, Dropbox. Receipt Bank can then either publish the data to your accounting software or download it onto a spreadsheet.

This can change the way you organize your work. Basically it is a virtual pin board filled with cards which you create. Open a card then add comments, upload images, or attachments, add labels and create checklists. If you are working on a project, Trello will enable you to gather all the information i.e. articles, images, notes etc. and share it with colleagues.   Not only is Trello fun to use but it is free.

Dropbox for Business

If you are looking for a secure place to store data which can be accessed by your employees this could be the answer. With Dropbox data can be accessed from anywhere which means you can have a team working on the same project from anywhere in the world. Create a folder and Dropbox will allow you to sync and share the data on any device.

Another favourite of mine is the 30/30 app. In fact I am not the only one who likes this, it was voted one of the 100 best apps ever made for iOS. So what is all the fuss about? Well, if you have ever struggled to complete a task you will understand that sometimes it helps to take a break and do something else so that you can return to the task with a fresh head. That is the concept behind 30/30. You use the app by working for, say, 30 minutes uninterrupted on a particular task and then when your 30 minutes is up, you take a break and do something else for the next 30 minutes. (You can set the app for 1 minute or 1 hour). I know that when I am working on something and struggling, it is tempting to just plough on hoping everything will resolve itself but it rarely does. This app reminds me to stop and take a break by either going for a quick walk or tackling something entirely different to what I had been working on.
